Dans la peau du photographe...
Je suis un jeune photographe français passionné de voyage et un amoureux des langues étrangères. J'ai eu la chance de multiplier les échanges universitaires (Canada, Suède, Mexique). J'aime sillonner le monde à la recherche de nouvelles rencontres, de nouvelles cultures. Voyages après voyages (Amérique du Sud, Amérique du Nord, Europe, Afrique), je me suis pris de passion pour l'art de la photographie.
Pour moi, la photographie est avant tout un exutoire, elle dévoile une part de l'intime, un fragment de l'identité du photographe. La photographie est une invitation au voyage, à la rencontre de l'altérité, une invitation à errer, à se perdre dans ses pérégrinations. Elle est à la croisée de la petite et de la grande Histoire.
La photographie est, pour moi, l’expression de la liberté par excellence, sa signification tient à la libre interprétation de tout un chacun. Elle peut être un outil de sensibilisation incontournable et marquer au fer rouge celles et ceux qui posent un regard sur elle.
Enfin, photographier c'est raconter une histoire sans les mots. C'est un moyen d'immortaliser des moments de vie, de figer des regards et saisir des émotions. C’est un art qui rend exceptionnel l’ordinaire.
Behind the lens...
I'm a French photographer who loves wandering and meeting new people, new cultures all over the world and above all learn foreign languages. I got the opportunity to go to Togo as a volunteer, then to Canada, Sweden and Mexico as an exchange student for a while. Trip after trip (South America, North America, Europe, Africa) I got involved deeper and deeper in the art of photography.
When you are travelling, It doesn't matter if you go all around the world, it depends on how you get there, how close you are to people and how deep you understand cultures, how far you learn the language and if finally you dare not to feel like a stranger anymore.
In my view, photography is a release, It is a way to capture moments of life, faces, expressions and to share emotions. Photography is universal and can cross any border. It's an expression of freedom, people can read into it whatever their belief.
Photography is a key to make people sensitive to a cause and it is an art that makes the ordinary extraordinary and reveals a fragment of identity, character and personality of the photographer. Photography is at the crossroads of the small and the great history and it's also a way to meet the otherness, even if it is true that the photographer often takes his shots in a lonely way.
En la piel del fotógrafo...
Soy un fotógrafo francés, he tenido la oportunidad de irme de voluntario a Togo y de intercambio a Canadá, Suecia y México. De esas experiencias vividas nació mi interés por viajar y me cautivó el arte de la fotografía. Mi interés va más allá del hecho de decir que voy a dar la vuelta alrededor del mundo, prefiero vivir en el país con la finalidad de acercarme a la cultura, aprender el idioma, compartir lo cotidiano con la gente del país e incluso, tener la impresión, quizá ambiciosa o presumida de sentirme aceptado como uno de ellos en lugar de un extranjero.
Para mí, la fotografía puede ser una salida efímera, una válvula de escape. Es una manera de capturar momentos de la vida, expresiones, caritas para compartir de otra forma sus emociones. La fotografía es una expresión de la libertad porque radica en la libre interpretación de cada uno. La fotografía es un medio esencial para sensibilizar a las personas en asuntos que rodean nuestro mundo y puede marcar con hierro caliente a los que plantean una mirada en ella.
La fotografía es para mostrar, deambular, perderse en sus peregrinaciones, y en ocasiones generar emoción. Es un arte que hace extraordinario lo ordinario, que revela un fragmento de identidad, de carácter y de personalidad del fotógrafo. La fotografía está en la intersección de la pequeña y la gran historia, en la encrucijada de las culturas del mundo. El ejercicio fotográfico es también encontrarse con la alteridad, aunque bien es cierto, a menudo el fotógrafo capta las escenas inmerso en completa soledad.
